The workout programs take control of the treadmill and automatically adjusts the speed and incline allowing you to concentrate on working out. Speed, incline and time length of each workout are per-determined.
These 34 workout apps showcase everything this treadmill is capable of and provide the necessary direction and impetus in order for you to achieve your fitness goals.
Drive motor
At the heart of this treadmill is a powerful 4.0 CHP motor. This unit makes use of high-grade wiring, insulation, and a thermal cut-off switch. Additionally through the use of high-end, commercial bearings and brushes, this motor delivers the longest, most powerful drive possible.
The motor is also dynamically spin-balanced and extensively tested for superior performance in vibration and noise in order to deliver a smooth and quiet operation.
Cushioning system
Exercising on a treadmill is a great way to keep fit but running or walking on some treadmills can result in wear and tear to your joints. The “ProShox” cushioning system employed on this treadmill has been designed to help reduce the impact on your joints and deliver a more comfortable surface on which to walk or run.
iFIT enabled
This treadmill is iFIT enabled. In essence this is a wireless connection between the Internet and the treadmill. The iFIT feature allows you to experience trails all over the globe just as if you were running outside.
iFIT enables you to customize your own fitness program, receive automatic workout downloads, manage your profile online and work out with Jillian Michaels. You can even add the thrill of competition to your workout with 5k races against your Facebook friends.
It should be noted that this feature requires a home wireless internet connection, and membership to iFIT.com which is available as an optional extra.
Speed adjustment
The treadmill comes equipped with “QuickSpeed” control. This means that you can easily jump to any speed within the range 0 – 12 MPH with one touch at any time during your workout. You can decrease your speed immediately when you are tired and need a break, or increase it instantly for a challenging burst.
Incline adjustment
The treadmill is also equipped with “Quick Incline” control. This allows you to electronically change the degree of slope up or down throughout your workout from the control panel. The slope of the incline can be adjusted within the range 0 -15 deg. You can simulate running uphill and add both challenge and variety to your exercise session.
Decline adjustment
In addition to the 15% of positive inclination that can be adjusted by a simple “Quick control” system the deck is also able to decline to – 3%. This is a feature that is usually only found on more expensive, gym quality machines. The deck decline has the benefit of activating different muscles by walking at a decline. This is claimed to burn more calories and stimulate more muscle for faster results.
Heart rate monitor
The treadmill is equipped with a dual grip heart rate monitor. The built-in precision sensors allow you to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate. Simply grip the built-in sensors to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate, stay within your optimum training zone and burn more fat.
The treadmill is also supplied with a wireless chest strap that transmits your heart rate information to the console without the need to grip the contact sensors when running for example.
iPOD/ MP3 connection
The treadmill features a universal iPOD connection. Connecting either an iPOD or any other MP3 player (via an audio cable) allows you to enjoy your favorite music or an audio book through the built-in sound system.
The system delivers improved clarity while reproducing a wide range of audio frequencies. Simply plug in, press play and listen to your favorite sounds while you exercise.
Tablet holder
The tablet holder was designed for use with most tablet computers. The shelf keeps your tablet secure and in close proximity so that you can access any online training tools or entertainment.
Workout cooling fans
This treadmill has dual “CoolAire” workout fans incorporated into the control console to keep you cool during your workout. The fans feature multiple speed settings. You can press the fan increase or decrease button to select a fan speed or to turn off the fan completely.
Safety key
A safety key and lanyard is provided with the treadmill. In order for the treadmill to be operational the key must be present in the control console. This means that with the key withdrawn the treadmill cannot be operated by unauthorized users such as small children.
The safety key has a lanyard with a small plastic clip attached to one end which can be clipped onto the users clothing. If the user were to accidentally trip or fall while on the treadmill the key is pulled away from the console causing the treadmill’s walking belt to slow to a stop.
User weight
This treadmill has a manufacturer’s advised user weight of 300 lbs.
When choosing a treadmill it is important to make an evaluation of the anticipated weight of any potential user and ensure that this does not exceed the upper weight limit stated by the manufacturer.
Folding design
When not in use the deck on this model can be folded upright to a near vertical position, so that the treadmill occupies a lot less floor space.
An “Easy Lift” system utilizing a telescoping shock unit helps the user to lift the deck upright for storage. When the equipment is required for use the mechanism drops the deck slowly back into place.
