ProForm PRO 2000 Treadmill
This model is part of ProForm’s new PRO range of treadmills. The ProForm PRO 2000 is a space saver (folding) model and is driven by a powerful 3.5 CHP Mach Z Commercial Pro Motor.
This model features the ability to decline the running deck. This facility is usually only found on more expensive treadmills and has the benefit of activating different muscles by walking at a decline. This is claimed to burn more calories and stimulate more muscle for faster results.
There are 50 built-in workouts and all of the workout data is presented on a 7″ Smart HD touch screen which shows the elapsed time, speed, distance, calories burned, incline level, and heart rate.
This iFit Coach Ready treadmill automatically adjusts the incline to recreate trails from all around the globe. Customize your training regime with workouts designed by certified personal trainers. It should be noted that a subscription to this service is required.
The product is underwritten by a lifetime frame and motor warranty, 5 years parts warranty, and 2 years labor warranty.
It’s currently on sale at a discounted price from ProForm Fitness.
Workout Programs
The treadmill has a varied selection of 50 built-in workout programs. The workout programs take control of the treadmill and automatically adjust the speed and incline, allowing you to concentrate on working out. Speed, incline, and time length of each workout are predetermined. These 50 workout programs showcase everything this treadmill is capable of and provide the necessary direction and impetus for you to achieve your fitness goals.
Deck Cushioning
Exercising on a treadmill is a great way to keep fit, but running or walking on some treadmills can result in wear and tear on your joints. The ProShox cushioning system employed on this treadmill helps to reduce the impact on your joints and delivers a more comfortable running surface.
Touch Screen Display
The control console features a 7″ Smart HD touch screen display. This display tracks your essential workout data. Just like a normal display screen, the user can check their progress, but the user is able to navigate through menus and pull up relevant workout data with just a swipe of the finger.
Heart Rate Monitor
The treadmill is equipped with a dual-grip heart rate monitor. The built-in precision sensors allow you to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate. Simply grip the built-in sensors to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate, stay within your optimum training zone, and burn more fat.
iFIT Coach Ready
This machine is iFIT Coach ready and automatically adjusts the incline to recreate trails from all around the globe. The user has the capability of customizing their training regime with workouts designed by certified personal trainers. This burgeoning library of workouts offers programs that cover every level of ability from a rank beginner to a seasoned marathoner. It should be noted that a subscription to this service is required.
Speed Adjustment and Incline/Decline
In addition to the 12 MPH speed range and 15% incline, the deck is also able to decline to -3%. This feature is usually only found on more expensive treadmills and has the benefit of activating different muscles by walking at a decline. This is claimed to burn more calories than walking on a flat surface and stimulate more muscle for faster results.
Audio Auxiliary Port
The treadmill features an auxiliary audio port. You can now enjoy your workout while you play your favorite music through the built-in dual speakers. The built-in dual Bluetooth speakers let you hear your music or videos wirelessly with even less complication. Simply plug in, press play, and listen to your favorite music while you exercise.
Workout Cooling Fan
A “CoolAire” workout fan is built into the console. It has two speed settings so that you can regulate the air stream to your preference. This console-mounted fan will help you stay cool and comfortable during your workout.
Safety Key and Fold and Store
A safety key and lanyard are provided with the treadmill. In order for the treadmill to be operational, the key must be present in the control console. This means that with the key withdrawn, the treadmill cannot be operated by unauthorized users such as small children. The safety key has a lanyard with a small plastic clip attached to one end which can be clipped onto the user’s clothing. If the user were to accidentally trip or fall while on the treadmill, the key is pulled away from the console causing the treadmill’s walking belt to slow to a stop.
This is a space saver model which means that when not in use, the treadmill can be folded into a near upright position where it will then occupy a lot smaller floor area. The folding mechanism also incorporates an “easy lift” system which uses a hydraulic shock that slowly lowers the deck into place ready for use or assists in raising it to its stored position. With the deck raised into its upright “stored” position, the deck automatically locks into place.
