Bowflex 7 Series Treadmill Review

Bowflex 7 Series Treadmill review by Treadmill Adviser

This is the flagship model of the Bowflex range and builds upon the rock firm stability and durability of its two other stable mates. The Bowflex 7 Series has a fold-up capability for easy storage and showcases a 3.0 horsepower continuous-duty motor. The user is presented with a variety of 15 stimulating workout programs.

Add to this wireless heart rate telemetry system and a backlit LCD computer display that tracks your heart rate and fitness metrics as you exercise. The frame is of a very durable construction and designed for rugged use.

A generously sized walking and running belt surface area measures 20 by 60 inches and features Bowflex’s unique Strike Zone deck cushioning system for ultimate support, stability, and comfort during your lift-off and landing motions.

Whether you’re looking for a slow walk or a fast run, this machine has a speed range up to 11 miles per hour and an incline grade up to 12%, allowing you to customize your workout pace and program every time. With a maximum user capacity weight of 300 pounds this treadmill should accommodate most users.

Lets explore some of the features:

… drive motor

The drive is provided by a massive 3.0 HP continuous motor. With even more power than the motor on the Series 5 (which has a 2.5 HP unit), the motor allows you to exercise for longer periods of time while maintaining smooth, consistent operation.

… sturdy feel

Because of their light weight, discount treadmills often rock and sway during brisk walks or runs. With the heavy weight of this treadmill safety and stability are assured.

… tread belt

This model incorporates a 20″ wide running belt. Other machines at this price point usually have narrower belts. It is also 60″ in length which is a full 6″ longer than the belt on the sister model the Series 3. You will appreciate the advantages of this larger running space when you come to use it.

… cushioning system

Walking and running are the most natural and enjoyable forms of exercising you can engage in but the continual pounding can take a toll on your joints. Running on some machines can feel like running on concrete.

This model benefits from Strike Zone deck suspension system. This will reduce harmful impact on your ankles, knees, hips and back and ensure that you enjoy the same silky smooth performance gym quality machines.

Some recent research has shown that as your front foot gets a soft landing, while launching your rear foot with a firm push-off. Pressure is relieved on the lower back, muscles and tendons.

… instant speed changes

The Quick Key control gives you the ability to instantly change your speed by sliding your finger to your desired setting instead of having to scroll through complicated options on a display. You can adjust your speed from 0 to 11 mph in 1 mph increments.

… incline adjustment

This model allows you to adjust the incline between the range of 0 – 12% in 1% increments. The useful Quick Key control allows you to change the incline of the treadmill by quickly sliding your finger to your desired incline setting.

… heart rate monitor

Wireless telemetry is used to check your heart rate in addition to the Hand Grip Pulse Monitor which is conveniently positioned at the front of the console. You can quickly establish an accurate reading of your heart rate using either method.

… workout cooling fan
