Space Saver SE9i Elliptical Review

The Space Saver SE9i elliptical is a higher spec. version of it’s sister model the SE7i, but with additional workout programs, intensity levels and a built-in iFIT module.

This is a rear drive elliptical and like the Se7i it has a power adjustable incline that allows the user to change the shape of their stride in order to target and tone specific muscle groups.

Additionally, the rear drive design is able to deliver a flatter, truer elliptical path that comes closer to a person’s natural stride, ensuring a smoother and more comfortable workout.

The elliptical has 30 challenging programs to engage your interest and help you achieve your specific fitness goals. Additionally there are 24 levels of intensity which you can select to help you burn more calories or tone up.

The trainer is iFIT enabled with an iFIT module already installed. This feature uses Google Map technology to enhance your workout experience. Train with Jillian Michaels, and receive workout downloads. A subscription to iFIT is required for this particular feature.

The model has 30 built-in workout programs. Each workout has been designed by a certified personal trainer in order to help you get the most out of your workout session.

These 30 workouts comprise a mixture of 10 calorie, 10 performance and 10 intensity workouts designed to assist you in achieving your fitness goals whether it be to lose weight or tone up.

The ramp angle changes the shape of the stride in order to work different muscle groups. This is a power adjustable feature which can be adjusted from the control console and enables the user to target and tone lower body muscle groups.

Designed to provide a comfortable workout experience this elliptical is equipped with large, adjustable, cushioned pedals.

These ergonomically designed pedals allow for three adjustment options to customize the toe-to-heel angle of the user, all while maintaining great traction control for a stable, relaxed movement.

Silent Magnetic Resistance (SMR) braking is used on this model. This system offers a frictionless, resistance braking which is very smooth in operation and allows the user to adjust the intensity of their workout without having to break the continuity of their workout.

The control console contains an audio speaker system connected to an iPOD compatible music port. The user is able to plug in their iPOD, or any other MP3 player, into the music port and enjoy their favorite music during their workout session.

A strenuous workout can leave you “hot and bothered”, but this model comes to the rescue with it’s workout cooling fan. The console mounted, high capacity fan automatically adjusts its speed to match the speed of your workout.

The more vigorously that you workout the more air that is streamed to your body so that you can benefit from the refreshing, cooling breeze.

… space saver design

Although this is a full size elliptical, the equipment occupies a comparitively small amount of space. By virtue of its vertical, “space saver” design it presents a footprint of just 32″ x 28″ when in it’s stored position.

The arms fold down and the entire machine folds up on the front base so that it can be stored in a corner of a room.
