Smooth 7.6 HR PRO Treadmill Review

This is a space saver (folding) treadmill

But more surprisingly, the Smooth 7.6 HR Pro is a power folding treadmill. Instead of having to manhandle the deck in order to raise or lower it into position, the deck raises and lowers at the touch of a button.

At its heart lies a 3.0 HP continuous duty motor that drives the 20″ x 60″ tread belt at speeds of up to 11.2 mph. The running deck’s suspension is taken care of by “Im-Pression” shock absorption technology, while the running deck itself is a commercial grade, made from triple-laminated phenolic material.

There are a total of eight preset workout programs enabling you to switch between interval incline and speed programs and heart rate programs with ease. Additionally, there are 3 user-defined custom exercise programs.

The “heart rate control” feature automatically adjusts the intensity of your workout by using information taken from the heart rate monitor. There is also a wireless chest strap supplied.

The product is covered by a lifetime frame and motor warranty, 5 years on all other parts, and 2 years of labor.

Main Features

• A powerful 3.0 HP motor is used to drive the tread belt. This unit has more power than a regular drive system and is controlled by a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) electronics usually only found on high-end commercial treadmills.
• The makers claim that the motor is for all practical purposes noise-free. Optical speed sensors and the PWM electronics provide smooth speed changes whilst dual motor fans allow you to exercise for longer periods while maintaining a smooth and consistent operation.
• The triple-laminated phenolic running deck features the “Im-Pression” shock absorption system. This exclusive technology provides a soft landing for the front foot and firm push-off for the rear foot, therefore reducing harmful impact on the joints and back.

     

LED Display

Sporting a deluxe LED console which is both easy to use and well-planned, the display allows you to monitor your distance, calories, speed, speed profile, time, and pulse simultaneously.

Heart Rate Control

The heart rate control feature allows the treadmill’s computer to automatically adjust the intensity of your workouts in sympathy with your heart rate. The pulse measurements are taken from the ergonomically positioned handgrip sensors or from the wireless chest strap and allow you to reach your optimal fat burning or endurance training zone.

The equipment has nine storable user profiles. This facility is especially useful in households with multiple users. Up to nine people can save age, weight, and target heart rate information for instant access without the need to key in the personal settings of each user each time.

Foldaway Design

The biggest surprise with this treadmill comes when you come to fold it away. Folding the deck on most treadmills can be a strenuous task, but this is NOT the case with this machine. With one touch of a switch, the treadmill can be folded away into its upright folded position or unfolded into its operating position while you watch.
