This model is the bigger brother to the Trailrunner 2.0. The ProForm Trailrunner 4.0 is fitted with a huge 60″ x 20″ belt and boasts a powerful 3.8 CHP Commercial Pro motor. The running deck, which can support users up to 350 lbs, is supported by a “ProTech” advanced adjustable cushioning.

Perhaps the most unusual feature of the is the iFIT technology which connects the treadmill to the internet allowing you to add interest and functionality to your workout. You can manage your profile online and even work out with Jillian Michaels. It should be noted that this requires an internet connection, and the iFIT module which is sold separately.

There is a 10″ color touch screen display which allows you to get the most from your workout by presenting workout data to you via the hi-tech display. You can navigate through workout stats and options with the swipe of a finger. Quickly view your speed, time, distance, calories burned, pulse and incline on the large, easy-to-read display.

The control console has a built-in Intermix Acoustics 3.0 sound system with high-end speakers that can be hooked up to an iPOD or any other MP3 player via the compatible music port with the player in easy reach.

Drive Motor

The treadmill is driven by a powerful 3.8 CHP Commercial Pro motor. This unit includes high-grade wiring and insulation ratings, and a thermal cut-off switch. iFIT Capability

This equipment is iFIT capable. In essence, this is a wireless connection between the Internet and the treadmill. Drawing upon the data provided by Google Maps, the iFIT feature allows you to experience trails all over the globe just as if you were actually running outside.

iFIT enables you to customize your own fitness program, receive automatic workout downloads, manage your profile online, and work out with Jillian Michaels. You can even add the thrill of competition to your workout with 5k races against your Facebook friends.

Other features include a nutrition and activity tracker, motivating text messages and emails, and workout videos that are available for download. It should be noted that this feature requires that the user has an internet connection.

Color Display / Web Browser

Employing the latest in interactive technology, a 10″ full-color touch-screen display with a web browser powered by Android is mounted into the control console.

You can increase your enjoyment and productivity of your workout by getting online while on your treadmill! You can connect to your home’s wireless network to check the news, read email, watch sports highlights, or get on Facebook via the 10″ touch-screen display.

Speed Adjustment

Instead of tediously scrolling through options, the Quick Speed system fitted to this model allows you to instantly change the speed of the treadmill between the values of 0-12 MPH with a single touch of a button whenever you feel the desire to change the pace of your workout.

Incline Adjustment

The user is able to adjust the incline between the range of 0 – 15 deg. in 1 deg. increments. Like the Quick Speed feature, the useful Quick Incline system allows you to change the incline of the treadmill by quickly sliding your finger to your desired incline setting.

Tread Belt

The treadmill incorporates a long (60″) and wide (20″) commercial-grade running belt. You will appreciate the advantages of this huge running space when you come to use the treadmill. The belt is constructed from a heavy-duty, commercial-grade tread material and is specifically designed for quiet operation.

Adjustable Cushioning

The equipment uses “Pro Tech Advanced” adjustable cushioning that offers a wide range of settings. The manufacturer claims that this type of cushioning system reduces impact on your joints by up to 33% and provides a more comfortable running surface.

Heart Rate Monitor

A CardioGrip Heart Rate Monitor is used on this equipment. The 2 hand-grip sensors are conveniently built into the handlebars. When the handlebars are gripped, the sensors provide feedback on the user’s heart rate via the color touch screen display.

Workout Intensity

An interesting feature found on this model is the “Workout Intensity Control”. This feature allows you to adjust the intensity of your workout at any time. If you feel like you aren’t working hard enough or would like your workout to be a little easier, simply adjust the intensity, and the program will automatically adjust to your desired performance level.

iPOD Connection

In order to keep you entertained, this treadmill comes with an Intermix Acoustics 3.0 sound system. Integrated into the treadmill’s console, this premium sound system features 3″ high-excursion drivers to deliver a crisp, clear sound.

The sound system also includes a compatible music port for iPOD. This allows you to plug your iPOD or MP3 Player into the Interplay Music Port and listen to your music collection through the sound system. The iPOD rests on the console shelf, so that it is within easy reach.

Folding Design

This is a “space saver” design which means that after use it can be folded to a nearly vertical position where it occupies less floor space.
