This new model is part of ProForm’s “Power” series lineup. The ProForm Power 1495 is iFIT enabled which means that it has the iFIT module built into the treadmill.
There are 34 built-in workouts. The user can choose from workouts based around high-intensity, incline, speed, and calorie-burn goals. The workout data is presented on a 10” web enabled touch screen which shows the time, speed, distance, calories, incline level, and heart rate.
This treadmill is iFIT enabled. The benefits of the iFIT technology include engaging in workouts enhanced by Google maps that simulate the terrain of the trail you are following. This particular feature requires a home wireless connection and subscription to iFIT.com.
The built in Intermix Acoustics 3.0 EQ sound system delivers a rich, equalized sound and has a compatible music port for an iPOD or any other MP3 player. The iPOD rests on the console shelf, so that it is within easy reach and leaves the controls right at your fingertips.
The treadmill is underwritten by a lifetime frame and motor warranty, 5 years parts warranty and a 2 years labor warranty.

The treadmill has a total of 34 built-in workouts. The user is able to choose from high-intensity, incline, speed, or calorie-burn workouts.
The workout programs take control of the treadmill and automatically adjusts the speed and incline allowing you to concentrate on working out. Speed, incline and time length of each workout are per-determined.
These 34 workout programs showcase everything this treadmill is capable of and provide the necessary direction and impetus for you to achieve your fitness goals.
… drive motor
At the heart of this treadmill is a powerful 3.5 CHP motor. This motor utilizes high-grade wiring, insulation, and a thermal cut-off switch. Additionally through the use of high-end, commercial bearings and brushes, this motor delivers the longest, most powerful drive possible.
The motor is also dynamically spin-balanced and extensively tested for superior performance in vibration and noise in order to deliver a smooth and quiet operation.

The control console features a 10″ web enabled, color touch screen display. This display tracks your elapsed time, distance walked or run, approx. number of calories burned, incline level, number of vertical feet climbed, speed of the tread belt, heart rate.
… workout intensity bar
This model includes a “Workout Intensity Bar” on the display window. This feature allows you to monitor the approximate intensity level of your current workout via graphical segmented bar on the display.
… workout cooling fan
A “CoolAire” workout fan is built into the console. It has two speed settings so that you can regulate the air stream to your preference. This console mounted fan will help you to stay cool and comfortable during your workout.
… iFIT enabled
This treadmill is iFIT enabled with the iFIT module already built into the treadmill. This feature allows you to experience trails all over the globe just as if you were running outside.
The iFIT feature also lets you access specialized workout programs, customize your own fitness program, receive automatic workout downloads, and manage your profile online.
It should be noted that this feature requires a home wireless internet connection, and membership to iFIT.com which is available as an optional extra.
… speed adjustment
The treadmill comes equipped with “QuickSpeed” control. This means that you can easily jump to any speed within the range 0 – 12 MPH with one touch at any time during your workout. You can decrease your speed immediately when you are tired and need a break, or increase it instantly for a challenging burst.
… incline adjustment
The treadmill is also equipped with “Quick Incline” control. This allows you to electronically change the degree of slope up or down throughout your workout from the control panel. The slope of the incline can be adjusted within the range 0 -15 deg. You can simulate running uphill and add both challenge and variety to your exercise session.
… decline adjustment
This treadmill also has a decline feature. Usually only available on more expensive treadmills the deck is able to decline from level down to a – 3 deg. decline. This feature allows you to activate different muscles for faster results by walking at a decline. walking on a decline will enable you to burn more calories than walking on a flat surface and stimulate more muscle for faster results.

… iPOD connection
The treadmill features a universal iPOD port. You can now enjoy your workout while you play your favorite music through the built-in “Intermix Acoustics 3.0 EQ” sound system. The system delivers improved clarity while reproducing a wide range of audio frequencies. Simply plug in, press play and listen to your favorite sounds while you exercise.
… heart rate monitor
The treadmill is equipped with a dual-grip heart rate monitor. The built-in precision sensors allow you to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate. Simply grip the built-in sensors to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate, stay within your optimum training zone and burn more fat.
The treadmill is also supplied with a wireless chest strap that transmits your heart rate information to the console without the need to grip the contact sensors when running for example.
… safety key
A safety key and lanyard is provided with the treadmill. In order for the treadmill to be operational the key must be present in the control console. This means that with the key withdrawn the treadmill cannot be operated by unauthorized users such as small children.
The safety key has a lanyard with a small plastic clip attached to one end which can be clipped onto the users clothing. If the user were to accidentally trip or fall while on the treadmill the key is pulled away from the console causing the treadmill’s walking belt to slow to a stop.
... fold and store
This is a “space saver” model which means that when not in use the treadmill can be folded into a near upright position where it will then occupy a lot smaller floor area.
The folding mechanism also incorporates an “easy lift” system which uses a hydraulic shock that slowly lowers the deck into place ready for use or assists in raising it to it’s stored position.
With the deck raised into its upright “stored” position the deck automatically locks into place.
