Smooth 9.35  - this is the new for 2012 version of the highly acclaimed 9.35 model from Smooth with many improvements in specifications and additional features. This is a non-folding treadmill with a 21" x 62" tread belt powered by a colosal 4.0 CHP motor. The Smooth 9.35 treadmill has a variety of in-built workouts that are arranged into different groups. These groups consist of a manual program, incline programs, speed programs, speed/incline programs, heart rate control programs, custom programs and a fitness test The console on the 9.35 incorporates a back-lit LCD display which shows all the relevant workout data including: speed, time, distance, incline, calories burned and heart rate control. The console also contains a deluxe Audio Center which can be hooked up to an iPOD or MP3 player. A workout cooling fan is built into the control console which also houses drink holders and a reading rack which doubles as a media player shelf. There seems to have been a lot of thought that has gone into the design of the Smooth 9.35 and it certainly seems as though no expense has been spared in selecting premium grade components when manufacturing this state-of-the-art treadmill. The treadmill is underwritten by a lifetime warranty on the frame and motor plus 7 years on all other parts and 2 yrs labor.

… whisper quiet power! The Smooth 9.35 utilizes a powerful 4.0 CHP Continuous Duty Motor which is built for long life and is underwritten by a lifetime warranty. The design of the motor incorporates an advanced Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) circuit board which is usually only found on commercial treadmills. Speed sensors working in conjunction with the PWM circuit board ensure smooth speed changes. The makers claim that this motor is whisper quiet in operation and delivers maintenance-free service with a high horsepower output for runners or walkers alike.
… program variety! An essential requirement for staying motivated when using a treadmill and achieving your fitness goals is having a variety of preset programs. The Smooth 9.35 gives you a choice of 31 challenging Preset Programs. The programs are arranged into the following groups:
MANUAL PROGRAM: This setting allows the user full control over the treadmill. Both the speed and incline can be varied according to the user's liking at any time during the workout.
INCLINE PROGRAMS: There are a total of 8 incline programs each of which alters the level of incline of the running deck automatically.
SPEED PROGRAMS: There are a total of 8 speed programs each of which alters the speed of the tread belt automatically.
SPEED / INCLINE PROGRAMS: There are 5 speed / incline programs that alter the speed of the tread belt and the incline of the running deck automatically during the course of the workout. HEART RATE CONTROL PROGRAMS : There are 4 heart rate control programs which automatically vary the speed and incline of the treadmill in sympathy with the user's heart rate. CUSTOM PROGRAMS: There are 4 custom programs which allows the user to create their own workout programs and save them for later use. These stored programs can be repeated as often as the user likes or modified according to changing fitness requirements.

…hand rail controls! The Smooth 9.35 has toggle switches built in to the handrail to enable the user to adjust both the the speed and incline. Using these handrail mounted switches allows the user to make the necessary adjustments without having to reach forward to press buttons on the control console and possibly disrupt their stride.

The Smooth 9.35 comes as standard with Wireless Heart Rate Control. When this feature is selected a wireless transmitter sends information about your heart rate to the treadmill's computer and this information is then used to modify the speed of the tread belt. The treadmill is effectively changing its speed in sympathy with your heart rate and allows you to exercise within your target heart rate zone.This method of training is popular with many athletes.
