Loaded with hi-tech features, this is the NordicTrack C 1600 PRO. Although sporting many innovations perhaps one of the most surprising features is the ability of the deck to decline. This is a facility which until recently could only be found on high end models.
This model is powered by a 3.5 CHP Durx Commercial Pro motor which drives a 20″ x 60″ tread belt. The belt is supported by a “FlexSelect” cushioning system which has been designed to offer the ultimate in stride comfort.
There are a total of 34 in-built workout programs consisting of 9 Calorie Workouts, 8 Intensity, 8 Speed, and 9 Incline Workouts. The Calorie Workouts have been designed to burn the maximum number of calories and all of the workouts are easy to select due to the simple navigation system.
This model is iFIT compatible. Connecting to your home wireless internet network it lets you customize your own fitness program, receive automatic workout downloads, and manage your profile online, and even workout with Jillian Michaels. (This feature requires a home internet connection, and subscription to iFIT.com).
The console incorporates a 7″ touch screen display. Speed, time, distance, pulse and calories burned are displayed together with a “RaceTrack” function that shows your progress in a track-style display. An iPOD or other MP3 player can be connected via a music port.
The product is covered by a lifetime warranty on the motor, frame, and deck with 5 yrs cover on all other parts (including electronics) and 2 yrs labor warranty.

Drive motor
The treadmill utilizes a DurX 3.5 CHP Motor. This is a commercial-grade motor that includes an internal fan which cools internal components and extends the motor’s life. This design of this motor allows you to exercise for longer periods of time, while maintaining smooth, consistent operation.
Workout programs
This treadmill scores here with 34 Personal Trainer workout programs that automatically adjust the incline and speed of the treadmill, each program focusing on an aerobic, weight loss or performance goal.
Speed control
1-Touch control is used to control the treadmill’s speed. Instead of tediously scrolling through options, the 1-Touch system allows you to instantly change the speed of the treadmill between 0 – 12 MPH with the single touch of a button. You can decrease your speed immediately when you need a rest, or increase it instantly for a challenging workout.
Touch screen display
A big feature of this model is the tablet touch screen powered by Android technology which brings the whole treadmill experience bang up to date.
The tablet is a touch screen that the user can use to navigate through menus and pull up information such as speed, time, distance, incline, decline, calories burned, pulse with a swipe of the finger.
The tablet interface also enables you to go online during your workout. Use your time constructively or keep your self entertained by accessing your email, watching sports, or engaging in social networking.
iFIT enables the user to enjoy the experience of watching their workout progress in real time via the Google Maps Street View technology.
0 to 15 % incline
1-Touch control technology is used in order to change the incline of the running deck with the single touch of a button instead of tediously scrolling through options as you would with traditional incline controls. The incline can be adjusted through the range from 0 % up to 15 %.
iFIT capable
This treadmill is iFIT capable. In essence this is a wireless connection between the Internet and the treadmill. iFIT enables you to customize your own fitness program, receive automatic workout downloads, manage your profile online and work out with Jillian Michaels.
You can even add the thrill of competition to your workout with 5k races against your Facebook friends. Other features include a nutrition and activity tracker, motivating text messages and emails, and workout videos that are available for download.
It should be noted that this feature requires a home wireless internet connection, and membership to iFIT.com available as an optional extra.
0 to – 3 % decline
This treadmill also has a decline feature. Usually only available on more expensive treadmills the deck is able to decline from level down to a – 3 %. decline. This feature allows you to activate different muscles for faster results by walking at a decline. walking on a decline will enable you to burn more calories than walking on a flat surface and stimulate more muscle for faster results.
Shock absorption
In order to address the problems associated with the constant impact that joints receive whilst running this treadmill utilizes it’s proprietary “Flex Select” adjustable cushioning. This unique cushioning system has been designed to reduce impact on joints.
The suspension can be enabled to provide cushioning along the whole length of the running deck for maximum comfort or disabled to simulate running on the road or track.
Heart rate monitor
This treadmill is equipped with a CardioGrip heart rate monitor. This helps you to make the most out of every workout by monitoring your heart rate via sensors that are built into the handlebars.
The treadmill is also supplied with a wireless chest strap, which when worn transmits the user’s heart rate data to be displayed constantly on the display screen without having to lean forward to grip the handlebars.

Workout cooling fan

This treadmill employs a “space saver” frame which can be folded to an almost upright position when not in use. When in this position the treadmill then occupies considerably less floor space and is of benefit to those who have limited room.
iPOD compatible
