Smooth 8.35 Treadmill - is a brand NEW model in the SmoothFitness range. The 8.35 is a "Space Saver" treadmill which means that it can be folded into an upright position where it occupies less space. It has a huge 20" x 62" tread belt that is driven by a powerful 3.5 CHP motor.

The shock absorption is taken care of by a "Im-Pression" cushioning system that has been designed to reduce the impact of walking and running. The running deck is designed to increase cushioning and reduce the harmful impact on your ankles, knees, hips, and back.

There are is a huge variety of 31 workout programs that are divided into 5 functional groups. These consist of 1 Manual program, 8 Incline programs, 8 Speed / Incline programs, 4 Heart Rate Control programs, 4 Customizable programs and a Fitness test.

The console houses a built in Deluxe Sound System that enables you to hook up an iPOD or MP3 player hear your music selection played through the speakers mounted in the console.

The Smooth 8.35 utilizes a powerful 3.5 CHP Continuous Duty motor. This unit has been designed for long life and whisper quiet operation. The motor benefits from an advanced Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) circuit board which is usually found only on expensive commercial treadmills. The integral speed sensors work in tandem with the PWM circuitry to ensure smooth speed changes.

An important factor in remaining motivated when using a treadmill and achieving your fitness goals is having a variety of preset programs. The Smooth 8.35 scores here with 31 challenging workout programs that are divided into 5 different functional groups:

First there is a Manual Program that allows you to change the speed and incline of the treadmill to your preference during the workout.

Secondly, there are 8 Incline Programs that automatically change the incline of the running deck throughout the workout.

Next there are 8 Speed Programs that automatically modifies the speed of the treadmill throughout the workout.

Then there are 5 Speed / Incline Programs that alters the speed and the incline of the running deck throughout the duration of the workout.

There are 4 Heart Rate Control Program that automatically modifies the speed and incline of the treadmill in sympathy with the user's heart rate in to maintain a preset target level.

Also included are 4 Custom Programs which allow the user to make their own workout programs. These custom workouts can be stored and repeated as often as the user likes or modified in order to meet new fitness requirements.

The Smooth 8.35 also includes a fitness test which requires completion within a fixed time period. This enables the user to gain an insight into the improvements they have made during their workout sessions.

The Smooth 8.35 comes equipped with Heart Rate Control with wireless chest strap. The pulse reading is taken from the hand grip pulse monitors or wireless chest strap and is used by the treadmill's computer to automatically adjust the intensity of your workouts.

This dynamic feedback loop provided by the heart rate control feature ensures that you are exercising in your target heart zone so that you are deriving the greatest benefit from your workout.
