Bowflex 5 Series Treadmill
Review

Bowflex 5 series

Bowflex 5 Series Treadmill - this is a larger version of the incredibly popular 3 series and includes all of the features of that model but with a larger (60") belt and 2.5 HP motor.

The Bowflex 5 SeriesTreadmill is an intense cardio workout system for the home gym and incorporates a fold-up capability for easy storage. The 5 series showcases a 2.5 horsepower continuous-duty motor and offers a variety of twelve motivating workout programs.

Add to this a grip heart rate monitoring system and an LED computer display that tracks your fitness metrics as you exercise. The frame is of a durable construction and designed for rugged use.

A generously sized walking and running belt surface area measures 20 by 60 inches and features Bowflex's unique Strike Zone deck cushioning system for ultimate support, stability, and comfort during your lift-off and landing motions.

Whether you're looking for a slow walk or a fast run, the Series 3 has a speed range up to 10 miles per hour and an incline grade up to 12%, allowing you to customize your workout pace and program every time. With a maximum user capacity weight of 300 pounds the Bowflex 5 Series should accommodate most users.

OK, now lets have a close look under the hood!

… the power to drive you forward!

The Bowflex 5 Series is driven by a powerful 2.5 HP Continuous Motor. With even more power than the motor on the Series 3 (which has a 1.75 HP unit), the motor allows you to exercise for longer periods of time while maintaining smooth, consistent operation.

… rock solid feel

Because of their light weight, discount treadmills often rock and sway during brisk walks or runs. With the heavy weight of the Bowflex 5 Series, safety and stability are assured.

… more room to run

The Bowflex 5 Series incorporates a 20" wide running belt. Other treadmills at this price point usually have narrower belts. It is also 60" in length which is a full 6" longer than the belt on the sister model the Series 3. You will appreciate the advantages of this larger running space when you come to use the treadmill.

… take the shock out of running

Walking and running are the most natural and enjoyable forms of exercising you can engage in but the continual pounding can take a toll on your joints. Running on some treadmills can feel like running on concrete.

The Bowflex 5 Series comes to the rescue here with its patented Strike Zone™ deck suspension system. This will reduce harmful impact on your ankles, knees, hips and back and ensure that you enjoy the same silky smooth performance gym quality treadmills.

Some recent research has shown that as your front foot gets a soft landing, while launching your rear foot with a firm push-off. Pressure is relieved on the lower back, muscles and tendons.

… finger on the pulse

The Bowflex 5 Series uses a Hand Grip Pulse Monitor to keep track of your heart rate. Conveniently positioned at the front of the console, your hand grip pulse monitor is more comfortable to use.

Manual, Cardio, Running, Fat Burn, Speed Interval Jogger, Hill Intervals, Heart Strength-Recovery Test, Calorie Goal, Distance Goal, Fat Burn HRC (Heart Rate Calculation), Custom Program 1, Custom Program 2

... and so to bed!

The Bowflex 5 Series has, soft drop folding. This SoftDrop™ technology makes folding the machine away after use a breeze. The facility allows you to fold the Series 5 with minimum effort. The treadmill can then be gently dropped back when it is time for use.

… what if it breaks?

The 5 Series has the feel of a treadmill that you might find at your local gym or fitness centre. For a matchless combination of quality and economy, the Bowflex 5 Series can't be bettered.
