NordicTrack T5.5 Treadmill Review

This entry level model employs the latest technology, and has many innovative features making it useful for weight loss. Despite this the NordicTrack T5.5 treadmill comes at a budget price.

Benefiting from a spacious (20″ x 55″) tread belt, and driven by a powerful 2.5 CHP motor this model uses the “DualShox” cushioning system. This is a Space Saver treadmill which means that it can be folded up after use.

This model is iFIT compatible. This technology connects to the internet allowing you to add interest and functionality to your workout. You can recreate routes on GoogleMaps and even work out with Jillian Michaels. It should be noted that this feature requires an internet connection, the iFIT module and membership of iFIT which is sold separately.

The console incorporates a large, 6″ backlit display. With a wide viewing angle you can easily track your total workout progress. Other essential workout data such as speed, time, distance, pulse and calories burned combined with a Race Track display.

The equipment comes with a safety key and lanyard. In order for the treadmill to be operational the key must be present in the control console. This means that with the key withdrawn the treadmill cannot be operated by unauthorized uers such as small children.

The safety key has a lanyard with a small plastic clip attached to one end which can be clipped onto the uers clothing. If the user were to accidently trip or fall while on the treadmill the key is pulled away from the console causing the treadmill’s walking belt to slow to a stop.

This design allows you to fold the treadmill into an upright position after your workout where it will then occupy a lot smaller floor area.
