Yowza Keewadin - is the intermediate level treadmill in the Yowza range. The Keewadin is a space saver treadmill which means that it can be folded up to take up less storage space. It has a huge 20" x 60 " tread belt and is powered by a 3.0 CHP commercial grade motor. The Yowza Keewadin has a total of 15 Training Programs that are split amongst the following functional groups: Target programs; Pre-set programs; speed interval programs; weight loss programs; learn programs; heart rate control program and fitness test.
A combination of a Floating Deck that rests on multi-durometer elastomer rings and a Swing Arm shock absorption system together provide a running surface that helps to protect your ankles, knees, hips, and back by minimizing the impact to these areas. The console incorporates a Blue Backlit LCD display. This display tracks all of the usual workout parameters and has a modern pleasing design in keeping with the clean lines of the rest of the treadmill. The console incorporates workout cooling fans, cup holder, and Hi-FI speakers that can be hooked up to an iPOD. The Yowza Keewadin treadmill is powered by a Commercial grade 3.0 HP continuous drive motor. This is a CHP rated motor which means that the stated horsepower is what the motor is able to produce over a sustained period of time without overheating. The motor is also fitted with a heavy, precision balanced flywheel in order to ensure smooth running of the tread belt.
...floating deck! When assessing the suitability of a treadmill a component that is often overlooked is the running deck. The design and composition of the deck can often have a big effect on the overall feel and performance of the treadmill. The Yowza Keewadin features a "Floating Deck" design that rests on multi-durometer elastomer rings. This provides a soft landing surface in front with a firm surface on which to push off from at the rear. The manufacturer's stated user weight for this treadmill is 350 lbs which is sufficient to accommodate most users.

The key to staying motivated when using a treadmill and achieving your fitness goals is having a variety of preset programs, The Yowza Keewadin is equipped with the following categories of workout programs: 1. TARGET PROGRAMS: There are 3 in-built "target programs", which have Time, Speed and Distance targets that can be set to count up or down. 2. PRESET PROGRAMS:There are 4 in-built "Preset" programs each of which has 12 levels of intensity. 3. SPEED INTERVAL PROGRAMS: There are 3 "speed interval" programs which consist of, Fifteen, Thirty and Forty-five minute duration and with seven levels of intensity. 4. WEIGHT LOSS: The in-built "Weight loss" program is able to adjust both the speed and incline and offers 12 different intensity levels. 5. LEARN PROGRAM: The built-in "Learn" program automatically records the changes made along the way and saves them into memory for future workouts. There is a choice of either "5K running" or "walking" programs. 6. HEART RATE CONTROL PROGRAM: the built-in "Heart rate control" program automatically reads heart rate via the Polar transmitter and adjusts both speed and incline to maintain optimal performance. 7. FITNESS TEST - the built-in fitness test is based upon Heart Rate Recovery.
…check your heart! The built-in contact grip Heart Rate Monitor is one of the easiest, most-convenient methods to monitoring your heart rate. All you do is grip the handrail to monitor your heart rate without any attachments or wires to get in the way. It's well known that heart-rate training makes your workout more effective. This is more popularly known as working out in your "target heart-rate zone". When you stay in this zone, you can get a more effective workout in less time. As a result, you can burn fat and speed weight loss, improve your cardiovascular health and promote athletic performance. … let your heart take control! The Yowza Keewadin comes equipped with Wireless Heart Rate control. When the "Heart Rate Control" program is selected the treadmill automatically adjusts the intensity of the workout in sympathy with the user's heart rate. The Polar wireless heart rate transmitter feeds back information about the user's pulse rate to the treadmill's computer. The computer then makes adjustments to the intensity of the workout by varying the speed or incline in sympathy with the user's heart rate so that they are always in the optimum target fitness zone.

The Yowza Keewadin has nine individual user memory slots. These user memory slots are used in order to store an individual user’s fitness data including age, weight and fitness level.
... iPOD dock! The Keewadin treadmill allows you to listen to your favorite music while you workout through built-in Hi-FI speakers. You simply connect your iPOD to the system via the iPOD dock on the console in order to enjoy your favorite music through the console mounted Hi-Fi speakers.
... keep your cool! The Yowza Keewadin has twin Workout Cooling fans incorporated into the console. The cooling fans delivers a stream of cooling air to help you stay cool and fresh during your workout and help you reach your goals faster.
... fold up and save space! If you are concerned that you haven't enough room to store a treadmill the Yowza Keewadin addresses this problem with it's space saving, folding design. This facility allows you to fold the treadmill into an upright position after your workout where it will then occupy a much smaller floor area. The folding mechanism incorporates a gas shock strut to assist in the folding and unfolding of the deck.
