Sole F85 Treadmill - this is a space saver (folding) treadmill and is the flagship model of Sole's folding treadmill range. The F85 treadmill has a 20" x 60 " running surface that is driven by a 3.0 HP continuous duty motor capable of driving the belt at speeds of up to 12 mph and inclines of up to 15 deg.

The F85 treadmill has a powder coated all-steel welded frame and is coupled to a heavy duty stable incline that together make up the body of the treadmill. The chassis and motor fitted are the heaviest in it's class.

An epoxy powder coated paint, baked to appliance finish durability protects the all-steel construction on the F85 treadmill while welded steel (not bolted) frames are indestructible and are backed by a lifetime warranty.

The F85 treadmill is fitted with an industrial quality motor that is coupled to a large, all-steel, zinc coated balanced flywheel. This results in a vibration-free secure running/walking surface.

An added benefit of the flywheel is that the motor runs cooler and draws less current (thus extending the life off the motor). Super slow start speeds of 0.1mph or 1/10 of 1mph can be achieved allowing very easy and smooth starts.

The Sole F85 treadmill uses quality rollers that are usually fitted on $5000 exercise treadmills. These are 2.75” rollers with a sealed bearing and ground wires for each roller to reduce static.

These large rollers make for better contact against the belt and longer roller and belt life. The end result is a smooth, quiet, static free motion and a machine that will last a long time.

A double woven 2-ply belt with four layers are employed on the F85. Two layers are rubber over a middle PVC layer with a nylon backing that rolls over the deck and rollers.

The rubber provides the durability, the PVC stops the belt from over-stretching and the nylon provides a smooth static free surface to glide over the deck and rollers.

The Whisper Deck on the F85 treadmill is superior to most other decks on the market.

Other exercise treadmill manufacturers fit Whisper decks but this deck is exceptionally smooth and quiet and so durable that Sole offer a lifetime warranty on it. If it wears out Sole will replace it for free.

The Sole F85 treadmill is a folding exercise treadmill - when not in use, the treadmill deck safely locks into place.

The folding design features a patented all gear rack & pinion system with the Safety Lock Deck design that locks the deck into place when the treadmill is in the upright position.

Summary:

The Sole F85 treadmill is a space saver (folding) treadmill which means that it can be folded into a near upright position after use so that it then occupies less floor space. With a 20" x 60" treadbelt powered by a 3.5 HP continuous duty motor it can sustain speeds of up to 12 mph and has an incline that is adjustable within the range of 0 - 15 deg.

There are six preset workout programs, two customizable programs, and two heart rate programs. A tri-color display includes a message board for clear instruction and feedback on your speed, incline, time, distance traveled, calories, pulse, and pace. There is also a 1/4-mile digital track that you can follow as you run and a peak-and-valley graph that corresponds to individual programs.

The F85 treadmill's console has built in speakers which allow you to hook up any MP3 player or iPOD and a large stop switch for safety. There are also twin workout cooling fans built into the console and speed and incline controls on the armrests in addition to the ones on the console.

Heart rate monitoring on the F85 treadmill is taken care off by twin sensors on the handgrips and also a "chest strap" that may be worn by the user for wireless telemetry of your heart rate. This treadmill also has the "heart rate control" feature which modulates the workout is response to your heart rate so that you remain in your target heart rate zone.
