The 9.17 HRO sports a solid frame, large running deck (ideal for interval fitness training and tall folk), commercial treadmill components and configurable options make the 9.17 HRO an excellent choice.

The 3.0 HP Continuous Duty motor will provide years of maintenance free service with a high horsepower output for all types of users delivering strong performance yet is ultra quiet in operation.

The Exclusive Impression Shock Absorption Technology is soft, yet stable when your foot strikes the deck. Rubber isolators cushion the impact and transmit absorption throughout the length of the deck. This eliminates side to side motion that is harmful to joints, knees and ankles.

The results of university testing showed the Smooth 9.17HRO protected runners by absorbing more impact force than traditional exercise treadmills. Your front foot gets a soft landing, while launching your rear foot with a firm push-off.

Pressure is relieved on the lower back, muscles and tendons. Muscles contract at a lower peak intensity for a longer period of time so they burn 14%-23% more calories.

The PWM Circuit Board (Pulse Width Modulation) is silent in operation with no electrical "hum." You get more power without the danger of throwing circuit breakers in your house. The circuit gives a very quiet yet powerful motor operation.

The Smooth 9.17 HRO Treadmill has a large control panel / display indicates time, interval time, speed, distance, calories, incline, pulse, and program. Large buttons, well-organized panel and easy-to-read displays make operating the Smooth 9.17HRO really easy.

You can adjust preset programs on the fly. Quickly set (or reset) speed, incline, time or pulse rate while you're in motion.

Glide at speeds of up to 10 MPH on the comfortable, oversized walking surface. Push your endurance with a 15% incline.

The 9.17 HRO boasts an extra long 20"x 54 " treadbelt, which provides an optimal surface for both walking and running.

Heart Rate Control allows you to maintain your target heart rate throughout your fitness workout.

The treadmill determines a preset maximum target heart rate based upon your sex, height, weight and age. (Or you can adjust settings to whatever maximum target workout rate you want.) The HRC will then dutifully monitor your heart rate, and adjust your workout to keep you in your target heart rate zone.

The wireless control works through a receiver inside the console. The wireless chest strap transmits your heart rate to the receiver in the unit. The unit then adjusts the intensity of your fitness workout automatically until your heart rate is in your preset zone. Having heart rate control in your fitness equipment ensures you get the most out of your workout.

The frame is a uni-weld steel construction, with no exposed bolts to loosen and rattle over time and has a lifetime warranty.

The elevation mechanism is via worm gear providing a staggering 2000 lbs of thrust throughout entire range of motion ( enough for the heaviest individual). This will ensure no hesitation while elevating treadmill.

The Smooth 9.17 HRO Treadmill also has a precision Front Roller/Pulley Assembly with perfectly trued front roller.This will result in a quieter treadmill with less vibration.

The belt comprises a 2-Ply, 100% Polyester low friction sole backing with black PVC non-slip beam top. The Whisper weave 20 degree seamless diagonally fused belt is pre-lubricated with silicon. The whole results in a Long life belt that is whisper quiet.

Bundled in with the 9.17 HRO is a FREE wireless heart-rate control with belt and transmitter - this automatically controls speed and incline.

Top this off with Smooth's incredible warranty which includes a Lifetime (Yes thats correct!) cover on the motor and frame.
