ProForm Power 990 treadmill - is part of ProForm's brand new "Power" series lineup. This is a Space Saver (Folding) treadmill and is driven by a powerful 3.0 CHP Mach Z Commercial Pro Motor and features the amazing, new iFIT Live technology. The new iFIT Live technology lets you experience trails all over the globe just as if you were running outside. It allows you to manage your profile online and work out with Jillian Michaels. You can even race against your Facebook friends in 5k races around the world. The Power 990 has adjustable cushioning comes and with an impressive variety of (16) workouts, which are divided into 4 functional groups. These include 4 Performance workouts, 4 Distance workouts, 4 Weight loss workouts and 4 Timed workouts. The console incorporates a CoolAire workout fan and an Intermix Acoustics 2.0 EQ sound system. This has a compatible music port for an iPOD or any other MP3 player. The iPOD rests on the console shelf, so that it is within easy reach and leaves the controls right at your fingertips. … the power to drive you forward! The ProForm Power 990 utilizes a powerful 3.0 CHP motor. This Mach Z Commercial Pro uses direct cooling, which is a self-cooling process that extends the motor's life and allows you to exercise for longer periods of time. The Commercial Pro is also spin-balanced, making it very smooth and quiet in operation.

The ProForm Power 990 has a total of 16 programs split into 4 functional groups. Each workout program has been designed by a Certified Personal Trainer. Firstly there are 4 Performance Workouts to help you run faster, jump higher and get stronger.
Next there are 4 Distance Workouts to help you Meet your distance-training goals with 4 event-training workouts. You can Select from a choice of 1 mile, 5k, 10k or half marathon. Then there are 4 Weight-Loss Workouts. These workouts are designed to help you burn maximum calories. Each workout has a pre-determined time, incline and speed to effectively maximize your workout time for an increased calorie-burn.
Finally there are 4 Timed Workouts. With these you can select the amount of time you want to work out and the treadmill automatically adjusts your speed and incline to meet your goal. you can choose between 4 workouts with a variety of time lengths to match your workout schedule.
...iFIT Live!
The ProForm Power 990 is iFIT Live capable. In essence this is a wireless connection between the Internet and the treadmill. The iFIT Live feature allows you to experience trails all over the globe just as if you were running outside. iFIT Live enables you to customize your own fitness program, receive automatic workout downloads, manage your profile online and work out with Jillian Michaels. You can even add the thrill of competition to your workout with 5k races against your Facebook friends. Other features include a nutrition and activity tracker, motivating text messages and emails, and workout videos that are available for download. It should be noted that this feature requires the iFIT Live Module that is available as an optional extra, a wireless internet connection and paid subscription to iFIT.
…change speed quickly !
The Power 990 comes equipped with "QuickSpeed" control. This means that you can easily jump to any speed within the range 0 - 12 MPH with one touch at any time during your workout. You can decrease your speed immediately when you are tired and need a break, or increase it instantly for a challenging burst.

The Power 990 is fitted with a "Quick Incline" control. This allows you to electronically change the degree of slope up or down throughout your workout from the control panel. The slope of the incline can be adjusted within the range 0 -12 deg. You can simulate running uphill and add both challenge and variety to your exercise session.
… finger on the pulse! The ProForm Power 990 is equipped with a Dual-Grip Heart Rate Monitor. The built-in sensors allow you to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate. Simply grip the built-in sensors to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate, stay within your optimum training zone and burn more fat.

If you are concerned that you haven't enough room to store a treadmill the ProForm Power 990 addresses this problem with it's "Space saver" technology. This facility allows you to fold the treadmill into an upright position after your workout where it will then occupy a lot smaller floor area.
