ProForm Power 690 Treadmill - is part of ProForm's brand new "Power" series lineup for 2010. This is a Space Saver (Folding) treadmill and is driven by a powerful 2.75 CHP Mach Z Commercial Plus Motor and features the amazing, new iFIT Live technology.

The new iFIT Live technology lets you experience trails all over the globe just as if you were running outside. It allows you to manage your profile online and work out with Jillian Michaels. You can even race against your Facebook friends in 5k races around the world.

The Power 690 comes with 8 workouts, including: 4 Performance Workouts and 4 Distance Workouts. All of the workout data is presented on a high-resolution graphical display that animates your screen giving you more accurate, less machine-like readings.

The built in Intermix Acoustics 2.0 EQ sound system produces rich, equalized sound and has a compatible music port for an iPOD or any other MP3 player. The iPOD rests on the console shelf, so that it is within easy reach and leaves the controls right at your fingertips.

To ease any concerns over reliability the ProForm Power 690 Treadmill comes with a Lifetime Motor and Frame Warranty, and a 1 Year Parts and Labor warranty.

The ProForm Power 690 utilizes a powerful 2.75 CHP motor. This Commercial Grade Plus Mach Z Motor is self cooling and allows you to exercise for longer periods of time while maintaining a smooth, consistent operation.

Walking and running are the most natural and enjoyable forms of exercising that you can engage in but the continual pounding can take a toll on your joints. Running on some treadmills can feel like running on concrete.

The first group consists of 4 Performance Workouts each of which have been designed by a Certified Personal Trainer to help you run faster, jump higher and get stronger.

The second group consists of 4 Distance Workouts. You can select from either 1 mile, 5k, 10k or half marathon to help you achieve your distance-training goals.




...iFIT Live!

The ProForm Power 690 is iFIT Live capable. In essence this is a wireless connection between the Internet and the treadmill. The iFIT Live feature allows you to experience trails all over the globe just as if you were running outside.

iFIT Live enables you to customize your own fitness program, receive automatic workout downloads, manage your profile online and work out with Jillian Michaels. You can even add the thrill of competition to your workout with 5k races against your Facebook friends.

Other features include a nutrition and activity tracker, motivating text messages and emails, and workout videos that are available for download.

It should be noted that this feature requires the iFIT Live Module that is available as an optional extra.

The ProForm Power 690 comes equipped with "QuickSpeed" control. This means that you can easily jump to any speed within the range 0 - 12 MPH with one touch at any time during your workout. You can decrease your speed immediately when you are tired and need a break, or increase it instantly for a challenging burst.

The Power 690 is fitted with a "Quick Incline" control. This allows you to electronically change the degree of slope up or down throughout your workout from the control panel. The slope of the incline can be adjusted within the range 0 -12 deg. You can simulate running uphill and add both challenge and variety to your exercise session.

The ProForm Power 690 is equipped with a Dual-Grip Heart Rate Monitor. The built-in precision sensors allow you to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate. Simply grip the built-in sensors to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate, stay within your optimum training zone and burn more fat.

The Power 690 is equipped with an "CoolAire" workout fan incorporated into the console. Just a hit a button and you can have low or high speed fans to keep you cool during even the most intensive workout.

If you are concerned that you haven't enough room to store a treadmill the ProForm Power 690 addresses this problem with it's "Space saver" technology. This facility allows you to fold the treadmill into an upright position after your workout where it will then occupy a lot smaller floor area.
