This is a very nice treadmill. I am 250 lbs and 6'2 and I have issues jogging on treadmills because of my weight.
This treadmill had no issues at all handling my weight. It was very smooth. Smoother than the treadmills at my gym.
Touch screen is nice and responded to my touches very well. Full incline my head is about 4-6 inches away from a 8 ft ceiling. This treadmill is about 3-5 inches higher off the floor than most other treadmills.
I found watching the 10 inch screen to be more comfortable than watching a 50 screen TV mounted on my wall. I like looking ahead and at the floor rather then straight or above. It feels like i keep my balance a lot better when I am looking straight and down.
I needed a treadmill that was very smooth and can support my weight. This treadmill did both.
Do yourself a favor if your picky like me and get a 3.5 or higher motor. This motor didn't break a sweat at all handling my weight while jogging at 6.5 mph.
I wish this unit had a headphone jack or Bluetooth connection.
I've been running on this machine for about a month now.
It is a quality machine and solidly built. It is easy on my feet and joints, and has a number of great features.
The web browser isn't as good as it could be, but that does not detract it from being a 5-star machine.
I'm 68 and use the treadmill for cardio fitness. I bought this model to replace the Proform model that burned out after eleven years.
My primary use is "hard walking" using elevation and speed to maximize my heart rate.
I chose this model for its internet connectivity, elevation range, speakers, fan, and video capabilities. It does all the above fine.
Contrary to reviews elsewhere, it syncs perfectly with my polar heart chest strap, even better than the watch I've used with it for six years.
I wish there were input for tv video. Be aware that to get best use of internet and training modules, you must buy a subscription to ifit (but the videos are very cool).
Love it, I usually hate the "dreadmill", but love running outside, this treadmill make my workout enjoyable, you can run all over the world.
The HR belt is a nice addition
The ProForm Power 1495 is a beast. I am amazed at the variety of workout options and I love the google maps app.
It is exciting to workout in any location in the world especially places I have visited.
The Power 1495 is durable and pretty easy to assemble however it is a two man/woman job for sure.
This item weighs about 350 lbs however once assembled it can slide into a space comfortable but for me I struggle a bit with the tilt and push.
It accommodates the taller users as well as the average height user.
I love how easily it folds in an upright position and how smooth the running surface can transition from down with little to no effort on my part.
The interface is user friendly and sleek. I enjoy the touch screen.
Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase however it is quite large for an apartment but I believe that I made the right choice with Pro-Form.
I purchased the 1495 a few months ago, and to-date it has been great.
It wasn't too difficult putting together, although having a second person to help was important.
The unit has worked perfectly.
I also purchased the iFit program so I could 'see the world' while running. I have to admit that iFit wasn't as intuitive as I had thought it would be, although I'm now at harmony with how to properly use the app now.
All in all, I'm very happy with both the 1495 and iFit.
