ProForm Power 1080 - is part of ProForm's brand new "Power" series lineup. This is a Space Saver (Folding) treadmill and is driven by a powerful 3.25 CHP Mach Z Commercial Pro Motor and features the amazing, new iFIT Live technology. The ProForm Power 1080 is compatible with iFIT LIVE. The benefits of the iFIT LIVE technology include engaging in workouts enhanced by Google maps that simulate the terrain of the trail you are following and training sessions with Jillian Michaels.
The Power 1080 comes with an impressive variety of workouts, split into two functional groups. These comprise of 20 Calorie Burn workouts and 10 All Terrain workouts. All of the workout data is presented on a 7" Full-Color Touch Screen which shows your speed, time, distance, calories burned, pulse and incline. The built in Intermix Acoustics 2.0 EQ sound system delivers a rich, equalized sound and has a compatible music port for an iPOD or any other MP3 player. The iPOD rests on the console shelf, so that it is within easy reach and leaves the controls right at your fingertips. The ProForm Power 1080 utilizes a powerful 3.25 CHP motor. This motor utilizes high-grade wiring, insulation, and a thermal cut-off switch. Additionally through the use of high-end, commercial bearings and brushes, this motor delivers the longest, most powerful drive possible. The Commercial Pro motor is also dynamically spin-balanced and extensively tested for superior performance in vibration and noise in order to deliver a smooth and quiet operation.
...iFIT Live!
The ProForm Power 1080 is iFIT Live capable. In essence this is a wireless connection between the Internet and the treadmill. The iFIT Live feature allows you to experience trails all over the globe just as if you were running outside. iFIT Live enables you to customize your own fitness program, receive automatic workout downloads, manage your profile online and work out with Jillian Michaels. You can even add the thrill of competition to your workout with 5k races against your Facebook friends. Other features include a nutrition and activity tracker, motivating text messages and emails, and workout videos that are available for download.

The ProForm Power 1080 has an interesting feature called the "Set-a-Goal Workout Center". To use this motivational feature you merely select either your speed, time or distance goals and the treadmill will create a customized fitness workout for you.

The ProForm Power 1080 is equipped with a Dual-Grip Heart Rate Monitor. The built-in precision sensors allow you to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate. Simply grip the built-in sensors to quickly and accurately monitor your heart rate, stay within your optimum training zone and burn more fat.
...program variety! In order to keep motivated when using a treadmill and achieve your fitness goals it is important to have a variety of preset programs. The ProForm Power 1080 has a varied selection of 30 programs split into two functional groups. The two groups consist of 20 calorie-burn workouts and 10 all-terrain workouts. Each workout has been designed by a certified personal trainer to put you on the road to success. The programs take control of the treadmill and automatically adjusts the speed and incline allowing you to concentrate on working out. Speed, incline and time length of each workout are pre-determined.
These 30 workout programs showcase everything this treadmill is capable of and provide the necessary direction and impetus for you to achieve your fitness goals.
…quick speed change! The Power 1080 comes equipped with "QuickSpeed" control. This means that you can easily jump to any speed within the range 0 - 12 MPH with one touch at any time during your workout. You can decrease your speed immediately when you are tired and need a break, or increase it instantly for a challenging burst. …quick adjust of incline! The Power 1080 is fitted with a "Quick Incline" control. This allows you to electronically change the degree of slope up or down throughout your workout from the control panel. The slope of the incline can be adjusted within the range 0 -12 deg. You can simulate running uphill and add both challenge and variety to your exercise session. ... strong deck! A frequently overlooked component of a fitness treadmill is the running deck. The design and quality of material the deck is made from can significantly alter the performance of the treadmill.

If you are worried that you haven't enough room to store a treadmill the ProForm Power 1080 addresses this problem with it's "Space saver" technology. This facility allows you to fold the treadmill into an upright position after your workout where it will then occupy a lot smaller floor area.
