This is the entry level model in NordicTrack's range of "sports" or "spinning" exercise bikes. The NordicTrack GX 3.0 Sport Cycle is similar to a racing type cycle and has the seat, pedals and handlebars positioned to enable a forward leaning, crouched down posture.
This trainer features a heavy (44 lbs) inertia enhanced, flywheel to provide a smooth, natural action and a resistance mechanism that can be used to adjust the intensity of the workout.
Co-located with the resistance control, mounted below the handlebars is a brake lever that the user can use to quickly stop the motion of the bike at any time.
The equipment is covered by a 5 yrs warranty on the frame, and 90 days parts and labor.
Here's a list of the main features:
... adjustable seat
The saddle seat is similar to one found on a road going bike, but has a greater degree of adjustment.
In addition to height adjustment, the saddle can also be moved forward and back in order to obtain the optimum seating position. Once adjusted the seat can be held firmly in position using the large locking knobs.
... precision flywheel
An important component of any exercise bike is the flywheel. This model has a 44 lbs, inertia enhanced, flywheel that has been designed to give a smooth operation. This will benefit the user with a much more natural feel when pedaling.
... resistance mechanism
An adjustment knob situated behind the handlebar stem can be used to change the intensity of the workout. The user can simply turn the knob in order to vary the resistance to their pedaling effort.
... braking system
Co-located with the resistance mechanism, a brake lever enables the user to apply the brakes and bring a halt to their cycling session quickly just as would be the case on a normal road going bike.
... pedals with toe clips
Just as on a road going bike, this trainer is equipped with pedals that have built-in toe clips and straps.
... water bottle holder
A conveniently located water bottle holder is attached to the frame in a similar position as you would find on a conventional cycle.
... transport wheels
The equipment has two transport wheels attached to the front of the frame that enable the equipment to be moved easily from one location to another.

I’m an avid rider and when my previous trainer broke, I turned to the GX 3.0. It provides a great workout and feel.
I’ve heard comments that the seat is uncomfortable. If you cycle a lot, you almost never use the seat a bike comes with and usually trade up to a better seat. I added a gel wrap and its fine.
The tension is really good and you can create a variety of training tensions, in intervals, to get a great workout.
Was very easy to put together.
In terms of speed and distance, if you ride a lot, you can gauge how far you approx. went.
Speed, I feel, is a personal preference.
If target heart rate zone is the question, one can buy a monitor to train within the rate zone.
Nothing beats the real thing of getting out on the road, but the gx 3.0 provides guilt free, positive training, when its pouring rain outside or when a hectic schedule doesn’t allow you the time.
Nice bike, seem very sturdy and well built very pleased.
The seat is very uncomfortable. Changed it immediately.
This is my only complaint overall strongly recommend.
I am so happy with my GPX 3.0 :)
As a Fitness Instructor who loves teaching spinning, this is perfect and I have not stopped using it since I received it ! :)
Great bike, I can do what I want to do on it and I am glad we purchased it :)
I’ve been using this for a for a few months and the action on this thing is smooth.
I like being able to manually adjust the resistance and have had a great time using this machine.
