NordicTrack Elite XT Treadmill - this is a space saver (folding) treadmill. It has a 20" x 60" treadbelt that is driven by a 3.5 HP DurX commercial motor. The shock absorption is taken care of by the "DuraStride" adjustable cushioning system that employs a moveable isolator to enable you to customize the feel. The Elite XT has 26 inbuilt workout programs split into functional groups. Of these 26 workouts, 20 are Personal Trainer workouts, 2 are Heart Rate workouts, and 4 are Create & Save workouts. The console incorporates a 7" TV and Digital Tuner that will show your favorite TV show in crystal-clear color. The Elite XT also comes with a Compatible Music Port for iPOD which is coupled to an Intermix Acoustics 3.0 sound system. The Elite XT has iFIT workout card technology. Each card is designed by a Certified Personal Trainer and plugs directly into the treadmill's
console, automatically adjusting the speed and incline, while the voice of a personal trainer takes you through each workout. Three are iFIT workout cards for Wellness, Weight Loss, Body Sculpting, Performance.
The console also contains a "CoolAire" workout cooling fan and an Intermix Acoustics 3.0 Equalized sound system with pair of 3" high-excursion drivers to give the best in sound quality. The NordicTrack Elite XT treadmill utilizes a DurX 3.5 CHP Motor. This is a commercial-grade motor that uses commercial bearings and is dynamically spin-balanced. Using direct cooling it has been extensively tested to provide superior performance and to make it both smooth and quiet in operation.

Achieving your fitness goals with a treadmill requires motivation and having a variety of preset programs. The Nordic Track Elite XT scores here with a total of 26 workout programs divided into functional groups. The first group consists of 20 Personal Trainer workouts that automatically adjust the incline and speed of the treadmill, focusing on aerobic, weight-loss or performance goals.
The second group consists of 2 Heart Rate workouts that help you to stay in your target heart rate zone by increasing or lowering the speed when you need to raise or lower your heart rate.
The third group consists of 4 "Create & Save" workouts that give you the ability to create and customize a workout and then save it for future use.

... sure footed tread belt! Arguably one of the most vital components on a treadmill is the tread belt. The NordicTrack Elite XT is fitted with a 20" x 60" Quiet Tread belt. The surface of this belt has been designed to keep you safer, while giving you the perfect amount of traction, whether you're walking, running or sprinting. At 20" x 60" this is a particularly spacious tread belt and will be appreciated by taller users or serious runners. The tread belt material has been designed to significantly reduce sound and produce a lower coefficient of friction in order to deliver smoother and quieter performance.

The NordicTrack Elite XT comes equipped with 1-Touch control. Instead of tediously scrolling through options, the 1-Touch system allows you to instantly change the speed of the treadmill between 0-12 MPH with the single touch of a button. You can decrease your speed immediately when you need a rest, or increase it instantly for a challenging workout.
… incline control with 1 - Touch! The Nordic Track Elite XT also uses the 1-Touch control technology in order to change the incline with the single touch of a button instead of tediously scrolling through options as you would with traditional incline controls. The incline can be adjusted between 0 deg. up to 12 deg. of grade.

Monitoring your heart rate ensures that you're always in the right training zone for your goals. You can get a more effective workout, burn more fat, and improve your cardiovascular health. The Nordic Track Elite XT uses two hand-grip sensors that are conveniently built into the treadmill's handlebars to give an accurate pulse reading.
… take the shock out of running! The Nordic Track Elite XT takes the shock out of running with DuraStride Adjustable Cushioning. This is a full-length, adjustable cushioning system that has virtually limitless settings making it possible to customize the settings to your own requirements. ... plug in your iPod! The Nordic Track Elite XT features a Universal iPod Dock. You can now enjoy your workout while you play your favorite music through the built-in "Intermix 3.0" Equalized Sound System. ... and so to bed! If you are concerned that you haven't enough room to store an exercise treadmill the Nordic Track Elite XT addresses this problem with it's "Space saver" technology. This facility allows you to fold the treadmill into an upright position after your workout where it will then occupy a lot smaller floor area. The folding mechanism features an " Airlight" shock and a self-locking latch, making the folding and unfolding of the treadmill relatively easy.

The Elite XT is underwritten by NordicTrack's premiere warranty which offers a lifetime warrantee on the motor and frame, with 1 year of parts and 1 year "In-Home" service guarantee. If something goes wrong in the first year they will send a technician to your home to fix the problem.
