NordicTrack C 7.5 Elliptical Review

The NordicTrack C 7.5 elliptical is an entry level, forward drive machine, that makes workout customization easy with push button control of stride length, incline and resistance.

The user is able to select from up to 26 challenging programs to engage their interest and help achieve specific fitness goals. Additionally there are 22 digital resistance levels which can be selected to help burn more calories or just tone up.

A key design feature of this model is the power ramp. The user is able to adjust the incline up to 20% from a button on the console and so alter the shape of their stride. This allows the user to concentrate on developing one or more specific muscle groups.

This model is iFIT enabled. A Bluetooth device such as a tablet can be connected to access the iFIT account to add extra functionality, and engage your interest. This feature requires a home, wireless internet connection and subscription to iFIT.com available separately.

Other highlights include: over sized cushioned pedals, heart rate monitor, automatic workout  fan, sound system with iPOD / MP3 connectivity, water bottle holder and an integrated tablet shelf.

Workout options

The model has 26 built-in workout programs. Each workout has been designed by a certified personal trainer in order to help you get the most out of your workout session.

These 26 workout showcase everything the elliptical is capable of and assist you in achieving your fitness goals whether it be to lose weight or tone up.

Back lit display

The operating console on this elliptical has a control panel incorporating a 5″ back-lit display.

The screen has a wide viewing angle making it easy to keep an eye on all relevant workout data:

SPEED, TIME, DISTANCE, PULSE and CALORIES BURNED.

Digital resistance levels

This model makes it easier to burn calories and increase your muscle tone by allowing the user to increase or decrease the amount of resistance that is applied to the elliptical’s motion.

There are a total of 22 digital resistance levels which can be selected from the conveniently located buttons on the control panel.

… iFIT enabled

This elliptical is iFIT enabled. The user is able to connect their Bluetooth device to the machine to add extra functionality, and engage interest with customized workouts, and automatic stats tracking.

It should be noted that this feature requires a home, wireless internet connection and membership to iFIT.com which is sold separately.

Power ramp

Another innovative feature of this trainer is the “power ramp”. The elevation of the ramp can be adjusted between the values of 0 % to 20 % directly from a button on the control panel.

Depending upon the amount of elevation selected there is a corresponding change in the motion of the elliptical which enables different muscle groups to be engaged.

Auto cooling fan

A strenuous workout can leave you feeling hot and sticky, but this elliptical trainer provides the perfect solution with an integrated workout cooling fan.

The fan has fixed speeds plus an auto setting. When the auto setting is selected the speed of the fan will automatically adjust itself to the speed at which you are pedaling.

The console mounted fan is operated from a button on the control panel and helps to keep you to keep cool during the most vigorous workout.

Heart rate monitor

The trainer is also equipped with a “CardioGrip” heart rate monitor. By monitoring your heart rate using the sensors that are built into the handlebars you can make the most out of each workout.

By monitoring your heart rate you can ensure that you’re always in the right training zone for your goals. This results in a more effective workout, burn more fat, and improve your cardiovascular health.

iPOD connection

The audio system on this model is connected to an iPOD compatible music port. Simply plug in your iPOD, or MP3 player, into the Interplay Music Port situated on the control panel.

You can enjoy listening to your favorite music or an audio book title during your work out session through the speakers built into the console.

Ergonomic pedals

This elliptical is equipped with over sized, cushioned, pedals. These ergonomically designed pedals have a textured surface to make them comfortable during use.

Water bottle holder

This elliptical includes a water bottle holder / accessory tray mounted on the main frame cross piece and is conveniently placed for drink bottles or to hold an MP3 player, or iPOD.
