NordicTrack A2550 PRO Treadmill - this treadmill is part of NordicTrack's new range for 2010. The A2550 treadmill is a Space Saver treadmill which means that it can be folded up to take up less storage space. It has a 20" x 55" tread belt and incorporates "ComfortShox" cushioning system. It is powered by a 2.5 HP DurX Commercial motor. The NordicTrack A2550 PRO uses the new iFIT Live technology which enables the treadmill to be connected to the internet to add interest and functionality to your workout. It allows you to manage your profile online and even work out with Jillian Michaels. This feature requires an internet connection, the addition of the iFIT LIVE module which is sold seperately and paid membership to iFIT. There are a total of 16 Workout Programs that automatically adjust the incline and speed of your treadmill. This is a commercial-grade motor that includes an internal fan which cools internal components and extends the motor's life. The NordicTrack A2550 PRO scores here with 16 pre-programmed training workouts which automatically adjust the incline and speed of your treadmill, each focusing on an aerobic, weight loss or performance goals.
These 16 workouts are broken down into 4 specific functional groups. To begin with there are 4 "Distance Workouts" which are designed to help you train for specific races or runs. You can choose from either 1 mile, 5k, 10k or half marathon training. Next there are 4 "Performance Workouts"for the ultimate performance training. These workouts are designed by Certified Personal Trainers and will help you to run faster and stay in shape.
Then there are 4 "Weight Loss" Workouts which as the name suggests are designed to assist people in losing weight. These workouts are designed to help you burn maximum calories. You simply select your workout and the A2550 PRO automatically adjusts your speed and incline to match your goals.

The NordicTrack A2550 PRO is iFIT Live capable. In essence this is a wireless connection between the Internet and the treadmill. The iFIT Live feature allows you to experience trails all over the globe just as if you were running outside. iFIT Live enables you to customize your own fitness program, receive automatic workout downloads, manage your profile online and work out with Jillian Michaels. You can even add the thrill of competition to your workout with 5k races against your Facebook friends. Other features include a nutrition and activity tracker, motivating text messages and emails, and workout videos that are available for download. It should be noted, however, that this feature requires an internet connection, the iFIT Live Module that is available as an optional extra and paid membership to iFIT.
