LifeSpan TR1200i - is a space saver or folding treadmill. It has a spacious 20" x 56" tread belt that is driven by a powerful 2.5 CHP Continuous Duty motor. The deck has a shock absorption system that comprises of 6 Variable Density Elastomers.

The LifeSpan TR1200i has a variety of in-built workouts that are arranged thematically into five different groups. These themes consist of workouts that are designed for: Weight Loss, Healthy Living, Sports Training, User Customized and Heart Rate Control.

An innovative feature of this treadmill is the USB port which is able to store and then transfer workout data to an online health management system located at the LifeSpan Fitness Club web site. A full set of detailed reports are then generated to show your exercise results. These can be shared with your physician, fitness coach or family.

The console on the TR1200i incorporates a multi-color LCD display which shows all the relevant workout data including: Workout Time, Calories, Distance, Heart Rate, Speed, Incline in addition to the personal data from the LifeSpan USB storage device.  

The TR1200i's controls are made up of large soft-touch keys with Start, Enter, Up/Down arrow keys and Quick Start buttons for a specific speed or incline level. The console also contains an Audio Center which can be hooked up to an iPOD or MP3 player.

... motivating workout programs!

Reaching your fitness goals with a treadmill requires both motivation from the user and having a variety of preset programs. The LifeSpan TR1200i benefits from a number of built-in workouts that are grouped together thematically.

Having the workouts grouped together in themes makes it easier for the user to select the appropriate workout for the intended goal they are trying to achieve. There five program groups:

WEIGHT LOSS - this grouping consists of 5 exercise programs that have been contrived to assist the user in weight loss. The user is able to choose from Steady Pace, Long Slow Distance, Cardio Run, Short Interval and Uphill Walk.

HEALTHY LIVING - this program group consists of 5 exercise programs which have the aim of promoting overall health. The user is able to make a selection from either an uphill Climb, Pyramid Climb, Plateau Climb, Ladder or Uphill Interval.

SPORTS TRAINING - this category comprises of 7 exercise programs that are intended to help you improve your sporting prowess or prepare for a sporting event.

USER CUSTOMIZED - this has 2 user setup programs that allow the user to create their own customized programs in order achieve the user's desired workout needs. These programs allow the user to set the speed and incline levels for each of the 20 program sections.

HEART RATE CONTROL - this comprises of two programs. The first HRC program keeps your heart rate at a constant level while the second HRC program allows the user to input a minimum and maximum heart rate. During the workout the resistance automatically adjusts to keep the heart rate of the user at a constant level.

All of the above programs are made up of 20 workout sections. Each workout section can be operated at 3 different levels of intensity. The user has the facility to modify the speed or deck incline while the program is running.

The LifeSpan TR1200i has a multi-color LCD display with simultaneous readouts. These show all your essential workout data in an easy to read format.

The information displayed includes: Workout Time, Calories,
Distance, Heart Rate, Speed, Incline in addition to personal data from the LifeSpan USB storage device.

... USB port data storage!

The TR1200i includes a USB port that enables the user to upload their workout data to the "Interactive Health Partner" online health management system via the LifeSpan Fitness Club web site (see below).

By inserting the USB flash drive into the console your personal profile is recognized by the system and then your workout data is saved to the flash drive every 20 seconds.

The workout data that is saved to the USB flash drive includes the user's heart rate, workout start and finish, distance traveled, calories burned and steps taken.

The workout data that has been saved to the USB flash drive can then be uploaded into your IHP account, and used to compare your results with the goals that the user has set for themselves.

... LifeSpan Fitness Club!

Included in the purchase of the TR1200i is membership to the LifeSpan Fitness Club. The main benefit of this membership is access to an online health management program. The user is able to select various exercise programs, monitor their fitness and health results, in addition to receiving encouragement and support.

During the course of your session on the treadmill your workout data is automatically stored on the USB flash drive. The user's personalized data (age, gender and weight) is held on the USB device which obviates the need to constantly re-enter this information and helps with the accuracy of calorie counting.

The user is then able to upload their workout data from the USB flash drive to their account on the LifeSpan Fitness Club web site. A full set of detailed reports show your exercise results which can be shared with your physician, fitness coach or family.

The LifeSpan TR1200i has controls built into the handlebars. These allow the user to safely control both the speed and the incline of the treadmill by use of the switches that are built into the handlebars.

This enables the user to make adjustments to the speed and incline during their workout without having to lean forward and use the main speed and incline controls that are mounted on the console.

The LifeSpan TR1200i is equipped with a heart rate monitor. This helps you to make the most out of every workout by monitoring your heart rate via sensors that are built into the handlebars. Monitoring your heart rate ensures that you're always in the right training zone for your goals. You can get a more effective workout, burn more fat, and improve your cardiovascular health.

The LifeSpan TR1200i has twin audio speakers built into the console together with both input and output jacks. You can enjoy your favorite music through the console mounted speakers while working out.

If you are concerned that you haven't enough room to store an exercise treadmill the LifeSpan TR1200i addresses this problem with it's folding design. This facility allows you to fold the treadmill into a near upright position after your workout where it will then occupy a lot smaller floor area.

In order to assist with folding the treadmill into it's storage position there is a hydraulic shock that will help lift and lower the deck.
